Salman Mehmood the founder of Thalassemia.com.pk is no longer among us. He left this world at 2 pm PST on 19th October 2009 due to meningitis.
He was a thalassemic himself, 24 years old, working as a web developer for a US based company named ‘Directors Advantage’.

Dear Ayesha,
It is sad that we came to know of Salman only in his death. May his soul rest in peace. Ameen.
We are deeply touched by what both of you have been doing to create awareness about Thalassemia.
The Press Trust of India (PTI) ran a story on Salman a few days ago. I have just posted the links to you. In case if you want to read the full story I will mail it to you.
Be brave.
I am very sorry for your loss. I wrote about your disease a few months ago, yet did not know at that time that there were some very brave warriors out there fighting against this disease. I have found your brother too late, but know that I am thankful for his efforts, and yours. I’m sorry for your loss.
