So here is a complete update

Just after getting married on 20th April, I flew for Lahore on 22nd April for 7th National Thalassemia Conference & Workshops, came back on 24th April, started my preparation for Thalassemia International Conference, which was taking place on 11th May to 14th May in Antalya, Turkey.

Flying for Turkey..!

So, I started my travel along with a doctor and a thalassemia friend of mine on 9th May… travelling alone ever in my life that also internationally, leaving mom for 6 days, travelling without husband.. everything was depressing it was hard to control myself.. the moment I reached Turkey I wanted to come back Pakistan and hug mom tightly tried to stay strong.. managed 6 days.. kept myself busy in conferences and beauty of Antalya

On the last day of our stay we went to Istanbul, did sight-seeing, did city tour, shopping and headed to airport for our flight to Pakistan.. I just couldn’t wait to see mom, family and of course husband :p

On 16th May I came back to Pakistan, had awesome time in Turkey, learnt ‘few’ new things at conferences, rest were old :/

After coming back so many things kept me busy, apart from personal stuffs.. I decided to stop blood camping for few months.., as it is really hard to arrange venue for blood camp, then calling people to donate blood is really impossible.., making them understand the NEED of blood for thalassemia patient is hectic! I decided to keep acknowledging people through website, blogs, interviews, twitter, facebook and I decided to raise more funds for needy patients.

Alhamdulillah with the help of donors we are now sponsoring 3 children from Fatimid Foundation, Karachi. And by the end of December we will be sponsoring 2 more

SK Collection

That was something about Thalassemia.. now coming back to myself.. I have started a new venture SK Collection!

SK Collection is currently about imitation jewellery, soon it will be carrying more products inshaAllah.. I started SK Collection on 10th November, wondering what does SK stands for ? S for Salman (brother’s name) K for Khurshid (mother’s name)

Salman used to use SK Dev for his online identity.. so just trying my luck with his prayers.. for this venture I would definitely give credit to my mom, family, husband and Royal Bangles Collection – Royal Bangles is something which gave me inspiration

So this was my complete update keep praying for us, supporting us, motivating us PLEASE!

It was a great experience, my first ever out of city conference enjoyed every bit of it… My aim was to make people recognize www.thalassemia.com.pk nationally as it is recognize internationally, and I almost succeed in it

Made new people, many great doctors, society people, made new contacts…, new friends.

Though conference ended on 19th but I extended my stay till 20th night, so that I can roam in Lahore for a day.

I went to Race Course Park, Capri Restaurant at Liberty for halwa pori *recommendation, enjoyed.. do try yourself too*, Fortress Stadium, Been to M.M Alam road, tried few restaurants there.. enjoyed them too!

A friend from another hospital came to attend conference but fell ill and was admitted in hospital, that was quiet depressing for everyone… But I was glad to see the care and love by fellow thalassemia friends who were taking care of him till his parents come to Lahore, two of the friends even extend their stay to stay with him *sweet, I liked it*
